Enlivy

FOR ACCOUNTANTS, BOOKKEEPERS AND FRACTIONAL CFOS

Your clients' documents, in the same folders every month. You keep the books in your own software.

Enlivy is not accounting software. It has no general ledger, files no tax returns and does not calculate payroll.

A MONTH WITH A CLIENT ON ENLIVY

From your first sign-in to the month's archive, in the same folders every time

Your client decides what you see. You choose the month, the record types and the formats.

  1. Your client adds you

Your client adds you as a user, with your email address and a role such as Accountant. The role decides what you can see.

  2. You sign in with that address

If you have no Enlivy account yet, signing in with that address creates one. The same sign-in works for every client who adds you.

  3. Choose the month

Open Export. Pick the record types, the period and the date to filter on: issued, created, paid or updated. Dates follow the timezone you set.

  4. Choose the formats

Add a summary spreadsheet for each record type and split incoming from outgoing documents if you like. Each invoice comes as a PDF, a Peppol BIS 3.0 e-invoice file, or both.

  5. Save the archive

One archive with a folder for each record type: invoices issued and received, receipts, and bank transactions as spreadsheets. Save it before you leave the page, because it is not kept.

No access yet? Your client can run the same export and send you the archive.

YOUR ACCESS

You see what your client's role for you allows

A role of your own, not a shared password.

Your client makes the role once, in User Roles. It can sign in to the back office, and each module is set to view, manage or delete.

For the export, view access to each record type is enough.

  • Only the record types you can view

The Export page lists the record types your role can view. A type your role cannot view is not offered.

  • Your client stays in control

Your client can change your role, or remove you, at any time. Whoever manages roles can only grant permissions they hold.

  • No extra cost for your client

Adding you as a user costs your client nothing, and the export is free on every plan.

WHAT ENLIVY IS, AND IS NOT

In front of your accounting, not instead of it

What you get:

  • The month's invoices, receipts and bank transactions in the same folders from every client who runs on Enlivy.
  • Invoices issued and received, split into incoming and outgoing.
  • A summary spreadsheet for each record type, if you ask for one.
  • Your own sign-in, with a role your client controls.

What stays with you:

  • The books. Enlivy has no general ledger.
  • Tax returns. Enlivy files none.
  • Payroll figures. Enlivy records payslips and checks their totals, but does not calculate payroll.
  • A ready-made import into your accounting software. You receive files and spreadsheets.

Your client’s bank transactions appear only if they brought them into Enlivy. How roles work: User Roles. What the export holds: Data Export.

QUESTIONS ACCOUNTANTS ASK

Accountants, answered

Is Enlivy accounting software?

No. Enlivy runs the commercial side of a service business: proposals, contracts, invoices and payments. It has no general ledger, files no tax returns and does not calculate payroll. You keep the books in your own software, and Enlivy hands you the documents.

How does my client give me access?

In their Enlivy back office, your client adds you as a user, with your email address and a role that can sign in. You sign in with that address, and if you have no Enlivy account yet, signing in with it creates one. Enlivy links you to their records by that address, so tell your client which one to use. Adding you costs your client nothing, and the export is free on every plan.

What can I see, and can I change anything?

Only what your client's role for you allows. Each module is set to view, manage or delete, and a role with view access only cannot change records. For the export, view access to each record type is enough. Your client can change your role, or remove you, at any time.

Which files and formats do I get?

One archive, with a folder for each record type and, if you ask for them, summary spreadsheets and a split into incoming and outgoing documents. Invoices, receipts and contracts come as files. Payslips, bank transactions and prospects come as spreadsheets. For the invoices, you choose PDF, an e-invoice file or both, in one language or in each recipient's.

Can I load it straight into my accounting software?

Enlivy has no ready-made import for a named accounting package. The archive holds documents and a summary spreadsheet in CSV for each record type, so what you can import depends on your software. The API can send the same records elsewhere.

Do I get e-invoices?

Every invoice exports as an EU e-invoice file (EN 16931): Peppol BIS 3.0, or a national format for some countries. Enlivy creates the file and does not deliver it over the Peppol network. Where Enlivy connects to the national system, it also sends and receives e-invoices for your client.
