Since 2021

Our Story So Far

Enlivy started in 2021. Robert had spent 15 years building software for other people, and wanted to build something of his own that would actually last. It's taken longer than any of us expected, and taught us a lot along the way.

2021
Where It Began
It began in September 2021. I started building the backend of the API, issuing the very first invoices by hand through Postman while I shaped the application's architecture.
To fund the work and build a team around the product, I also launched enlivy.dev, our freelance branch, taking on client projects to bring money into the company.
2022
The Search for the Right Craft
2022 was a year of searching. Getting Enlivy's frontend to the standard I had in mind proved far harder than I expected. Over that year, I worked with three different frontend developers on the app, each time still looking for someone who could build the vision at the quality it truly needed.
It was a humbling lesson in how rare real craftsmanship is, and how much it matters. That search is exactly why we came to care so deeply about building things right, and why we're all the more grateful for the people who eventually met that bar.
May 2023
First Teambuilding
Our first teambuilding took place in May 2023, and it was unforgettable. We spent a full weekend together in a cozy cabin deep in the forest, surrounded by the nature we all love.
We shared stories, ate pizza, fired up the barbecue, relaxed by the pool, and grew closer as a team.
It was the moment we realized how well we work together, both personally and professionally.
November 2024
WordCamp Romania
In November 2024, we joined WordCamp Romania in Poiana Brașov, and it was truly a blast.
It felt like part teambuilding, part professional conference. We spent a lot of time together, met passionate people from the WordPress community, and listened to inspiring talks.
We connected with developers, designers, and entrepreneurs, learned new things, and grew even closer as a team.
November 2025
Web Summit Lisbon
In 2025, we attended Web Summit Lisbon as a startup, and it inspired us on every level. We went there to show Enlivy to the world, meet people from everywhere, and share where we're headed. It was our first big international conference as a team, and it made us think bigger and move faster.
We met founders, investors, and builders from dozens of countries, each with a story that helped us sharpen ours. The energy was electric, and Lisbon itself, the streets and the food and the light, made it a trip we won't forget.
