DUBSADO ALTERNATIVE
Enlivy vs Dubsado
Dubsado's workflow automation is genuinely excellent for a US client journey. It has no bank reconciliation at all, no EU e-invoicing, and its own QuickBooks sync only flows one way.
HOW THEY COMPARE
Enlivy vs Dubsado, capability by capability
Dubsado's own documentation is direct about it: no accounts payable, no bank reconciliation, no double-entry ledger built in. It leans on a QuickBooks or Xero connection instead, and even that only syncs one way. Enlivy covers that ground natively, plus EU e-invoicing Dubsado doesn't attempt.

STRENGTHS ON BOTH SIDES
Where each one actually wins
Dubsado's reputation for automation is earned. So is the accounting gap its own documentation admits to.
Where Dubsado wins
Reviewers consistently point to Dubsado's workflow builder as its strongest feature: trigger-based sequences that automate a whole client journey, from inquiry through delivery, without manual follow-up. Combined with mature, legally binding proposals and e-signature contracts, it's a genuinely well-built tool for a US-based consultant, coach, or creative who wants one system for the entire relationship.
Where Enlivy wins
Dubsado has no accounts payable, no bank reconciliation, and no double-entry ledger of its own; it connects to QuickBooks or Xero instead, and that sync only flows one direction, from Dubsado out, not back in. There's no evidence it supports ANAF eFactura or PEPPOL, and scheduling is gated to its higher tier rather than included.
In Enlivy, the pipeline, the signed contract, the compliant invoice and the bank payment linked to it stay connected, instead of a workflow tool paired with a separate accounting system.
NO ONE-WAY SYNC
Dubsado exports to your accounting tool. Enlivy feeds it.
Bank sync with the Banking pack, ANAF eFactura and PEPPOL BIS 3.0 files, linked to the pipeline, the contract and the invoice.

PRICING
Per seat and per brand versus per feature pack
Dubsado's pricing is simple at first glance. It has more moving parts once your team or your business does too.
Dubsado: two tiers, per-seat overage
Dubsado runs $20 a month (Starter) or $40 a month (Premier, which adds scheduling and workflows), billed monthly or with a discount annually. The first 3 users are included; a 4th costs $25 a month, rising to $45 for 11 to 20 and $60 for 21 to 30. Running a second brand under the same account costs another $10 a month. The trial isn't time-limited, but it caps out at 3 clients.
Enlivy: choose the packs you need
Enlivy prices per feature pack: invoicing, contracts, and the sales pipeline are separate packs; payroll is a separate pack and the customer portal is included, plus add-ons for extra bank connections and translation capacity. Additional Helpdesk seats can change the price.

WHO IT FITS
Who each one actually fits
A quick way to self-select before you read the rest of the page.
Dubsado fits you if
- You're a US-based consultant, coach, or creative who wants deep, customizable workflow automation across the whole client journey, and don't need EU compliance.
- You're comfortable connecting a separate QuickBooks or Xero account for bookkeeping, knowing the sync only flows one way.
- Your team fits inside the included 3 seats, or you're fine paying per seat beyond that.
Enlivy fits you if
- You invoice from a Romanian company and need ANAF eFactura, which Dubsado doesn't offer.
- You want bank account sync and payments linked to invoices, not a one-way export to a separate accounting tool.
- You want to add teammates without paying per seat.
SWITCHING
Switching from Dubsado
Dubsado's own documentation is direct about what it isn't: no accounts payable, no bank reconciliation, no double-entry ledger. That gap is what the switch is about.
What you run today
- Dubsado Client workflows, proposals, contracts, and invoices
- QuickBooks or Xero The accounting Dubsado connects to, one direction only
- Nothing for EU compliance No PEPPOL, no eFactura

What it becomes
Enlivy
- Real bank sync and reconciliation, not a one-way export
- Romanian ANAF connection and supported invoice file exports
- Billing schedules for retainers and subscriptions
- Per feature pack, so adding people doesn't change the bill
What stays where it is
- Your scheduling tool meeting booking
Enlivy doesn't do client scheduling, so keep whatever you book calls with. Dubsado's trigger-based workflow automation is also genuinely deeper than Enlivy's Playbooks, which cover internal process rather than client-facing sequences.
How the move works
- 1
Export your clients
Contacts, proposals, and open invoices come out of Dubsado as a spreadsheet.

Proposals and contracts become Enlivy records tied to the pipeline behind them.
- 3
Keep the books separate

DUBSADO ALTERNATIVE
Enlivy vs Dubsado: common questions
Is Enlivy a replacement for Dubsado, or does it work alongside it?
For most teams outside the US, yes. Dubsado's proposals, contracts, and client portal cover similar ground to Enlivy's Proposals, Contracts, and Customer Portal, and Enlivy adds the ANAF eFactura, EU e-invoice files and bank sync Dubsado doesn't have. If you specifically need Dubsado's trigger-based workflow automation for a US-based client journey, that piece is harder to fully replace.
Does Dubsado support ANAF eFactura or EU e-invoicing?
No. There's no evidence Dubsado supports PEPPOL or ANAF eFactura; its invoicing connects to QuickBooks or Xero rather than issuing compliant EU e-invoices itself. Enlivy sends a Romanian organization's invoices to Romanian clients through ANAF eFactura, manually or on a schedule you set, and for other EU markets it can export a PEPPOL BIS 3.0 file you submit yourself.
Does Dubsado do bank reconciliation like Enlivy?
No. Dubsado has no accounts payable, no bank reconciliation, and no double-entry ledger built in; it connects to QuickBooks Online or Xero for that, and even then the sync only flows one way, from Dubsado out to the accounting tool, not back. With the Banking pack, Enlivy syncs your bank every few hours, and your team links each payment to its invoice.
Why does my Dubsado bill grow as my team or number of brands grows?
Dubsado's plans include 3 users; a 4th costs $25 a month, rising to $45 for 11 to 20 users and $60 for 21 to 30. Running more than one business also costs an extra $10 a month per additional brand. Enlivy prices invoicing, contracts, and the pipeline per feature pack. Additional Helpdesk seats are priced separately.
Does Enlivy have workflow automation like Dubsado's?
Not the same kind. Dubsado's workflow builder is genuinely one of its strongest features, trigger-based sequences that automate a whole client journey from inquiry to delivery. Enlivy's Playbooks cover internal process standardization rather than client-facing automated sequences, so it isn't trying to match Dubsado's automation depth.
